FUNNY: Bracewell on catching Pokémon

Sunday, July 17 2016 by SNTV
  • Bowler-batsman Doug Bracewell revealed on Sunday (17th July) that he's been playing Pokemon during New Zealand's training camp in Pretoria, South Africa, but added he's been cautious when searching for them.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Doug Bracewell, New Zealand (Q: We hear you've playing Pokemon, how have you been getting on?)

"Up around the 40s at the moment, but we're just slowly creating a platform there."
Q: What is the best Pokemon you've got?
"I think I've got a Growler from the bank there. I am still looking for a Pikachu and you know I've got a few Pokemon there that are low strength, but I am after some higher strength Pokemon."
    (Q: Are there any around?)
"Yeah there has been a few around, I haven't really ventured too far to catch any, just around the high performance centre there seems to be a couple popping up here and there."
    (Q: None at training?)
"Yeah I've got a couple before training (laughs)"
(Q: You want to be careful that you don't come across a snake or something else when you are going hunting for them over here?)
"Yeah I was a bit worried at the game park yesterday, something could maybe be mistaken for a Pokemon."
