Yorkshire and England player Liam Plunkett paid tribute to Jason Gillespe after the Yorkshire coach announced his is leaving his post and returning to his native Australia at the end of the season.

"Gutted because he was good for me and good for the team and it's a tough decision that he has made. I want to thank him, he has been great for me and they took a chance at the club to bring me there. He has been nothing but positive to me and has got me back to playing for England so I wish him all the best and look forward to catching up with him when I get back to Yorkshire."

"I was a bit raw and struggling with my action and I thought it was all technical, but it wasn't, it was just about backing myself. I when I went there he picked up on that straight away, he did different stuff with different people but knew what I wanted, and he just said bowl fast and backed me and with that came confidence that year at Yorkshire."
