Woakes on 'special' six-wicket haul

Sunday, July 17 2016 by SNTV
  • England bowler Chris Woakes described his six-wicket haul as a 'special moment' when he faced the press on Friday (15th July).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Woakes, England (on his six-wicket haul):

"Yeah, obviously delighted - I didn't envisage myself getting it with a short wide one that gets cut to point but it was a really nice moment, really nice to be able to hold the ball up here at Lord's to the crowd. You know, my dad and my brother watching as well, it was a pretty special moment."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Woakes, England (asked if England can still win the Test):

"Yeah definitely, I think we're still in a decent position in the Test match, by no means are we completely out of it. We've had a little bit of a tricky middle order there but me and 'Broady' (Stuart Broad) have got a really important job to do in the morning, first half-hour, 45 minutes. If we can put on a decent partnership and get up close to Pakistan if not past them, all of a sudden if we do get a lead, the pressure is completely back on them and then it's up to us to bowl well, put the ball in the right areas and try and skittle them out."
