Ntini appointed Zimbabwe coach

Zimbabwe have sacked Dav Whatmore as coach, following a review of their unsuccessful ICC World Twenty20 campaign in India.

Whatmore, a much-travelled international coach, has had his contract terminated - one of several changes Zimbabwe Cricket announced via its Twitter feed.

Bowling coach Makhaya Ntini, the ex-South Africa seamer, will take on Whatmore's role in a temporary capacity - with former South Africa all-rounder Lance Klusener the new batting specialist.

Hamilton Masakadza is also no longer Zimbabwe captain and has been replaced in all formats by Graeme Cremer in time for the forthcoming limited-overs series at home to India.
