South Africa prepared for their Twenty20 tri-series opener against Bangladesh in Harare on Tuesday.

South Africa spent Monday in the nets at the Harare Sports Club on the eve of their opening Twenty20 tri-series match against Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshis lost their opening game of the seven-match series against hosts Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Despite missing a number of star players, South Africa are overwhelming favourites to win the tournament.

But batsman Jean-Paul Duminy says the side aren't taking anything for granted.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jean-Paul Duminy, South Africa batsman:
"Obviously we want to go out there and win the game convincingly. Bangladesh are always tough opposition in the shorter format of the game, so we are not going to take these games lightly and hopefully we can put in the big performances."

Regular limited-overs captain AB de Villiers, veteran all-rounder Jacques Kallis, and pace duo Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel have been rested ahead of the more arduous tour of England.

But for the rest of the squad, it's a chance to impress three months before the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
