Coach and player reaction following the Golden State Warriors series-clinching 108-95 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis on Friday (8 May).

SOUNDBITE (English) Steve Kerr, Warriors coach:

"This is all new ground for the Warriors. It's 39 years since we've been in the Conference finals. It's a testament to all the work that's been put in for the last three or four years, building this team, developing players, developing an identity over the last few years with the defence. It's very gratifying. I'm happy to be a part of it. The fact is I jumped on board this year and the train was already rolling. But it's really fun to be a part of this group."

SOUNDBITE (English) Stephen Curry, Warriors guard:

"That whole third quarter they made a push and we just couldn't get any stops. They were making shots and the crowd was into it. It was interesting, we never gave up the lead and we always felt confident that we could just figure it out and get some stops and get back to our way of playing. And, obviously, we were up five and Andre (Iguodala) gets what looked like a clean play from my vantage point and the guy's handled the ball. It looked kind of weird but the ball squirts free and I grabbed it knowing we had a couple of seconds left and just chucked it up there and it looked good the whole way. So it was kind of fun to see that one go in. The whole momentum changed going up eight going into the fourth quarter."
