Post-game reaction after the Washington Wizards beat the Atlanta Hawks 103-101 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals on Saturday at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Randy Wittman, Washington Wizards head coach (On game-winning basket)

"You know, we wanted, I wanted to get the ball in Paul's (Paul Pierce) hands and we set it with Will (Bynum), a screen, hopefully getting a switch to get a smaller guy on him, which they did. And he makes the shot, big shot by a big time player. So yeah, that's, we wanted to make sure we got the last shot, which we would of even if it didn't go in. I think the horn would of sounded there."

SOUNDBITE (English): Mike Budenholzer, Atlanta Hawks head coach

"The way that the group that finished, played, we're going to have to play more like that for 48 minutes. And I'm very proud of that group the way they competed and got back in the game. And there's a lot to work on, a lot to look at from the first three quarters. But it's great, this, between (games) three and four we'll do it. We'll come back and we'll be ready for game four."

SOUNDBITE (English): Dennis Schroder, Atlanta Hawks guard

"I think we just competed as a team. I think the second unit did an amazing job of competing, running back getting rebounds. And yeah, we just competed and yeah, at the end it was a lucky shot and we lost the game."

SOUNDBITE (English): Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards forward (On game-winning basket)

"Well yeah, I mean I got the ball in a great spot. Coach (Randy Wittman) drew up the play, a play we just put in yesterday, got the switch, got the smaller guy on me, took my time, you know, I wanted to make sure I got the shot off with no time on the clock. You know, I've been in those situations many a times. And so we didn't want to, you know, if it went overtime or if I missed the shot, we didn't want them to have a chance to call timeout and advance the ball. So I just took my time, got to my spot and I was able to knock it down."
