Reaction after the Atlanta Hawks beat the Washington Wizards 106-90 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals on Tuesday (5th May) at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

SOUNDBITE (English) Randy Wittman, Washington Wizards Head Coach:

"Turnovers, made some crucial turnovers at the end. Didn't give ourselves a chance to get a shot opportunity. But they battled, gave themselves again, coming into the fourth quarter, an opportunity."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mike Budenholzer, Atlanta Hawks Head Coach:

"If we could just get to where we're playing more of those 48 minutes with that kind of defensive intensity, those hands, the activity, that's what we're going for and that's what we're looking for. I think the unselfishness, you know, I think 30 assists on 37 field goals, you know, the ball, if we can keep moving the ball, keep attacking, keep finding the open man, good things will happen. I thought our bench really helped us tonight. Several guys came in and played well. So, a lot to work on but it's good to get a win."

SOUNDBITE (English) DeMarre Carroll, Atlanta Hawks Forward:

"We knew this was a game we had to win. We didn't want to go down there (Atlanta) 0-2 (in the series). And it was kind of, kind of a funky game. We realised at the last minute John Wall (Washington Wizards Guard) was going to be out. So it was kind of, but I think we, our focus stayed, our mentality towards the game was there. So I think it was a big win for us under a lot of circumstances."

SOUNDBITE (English) Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks Center:

"You know, I feel like we just have to keep believing in our system, eyeing those shots. We've been doing that all year. And I know it's the playoffs, intensity goes up. There's a lot of things that go into it but it's gotten us this far. So we have to stay confident. Our guys, we're going to keep shooting the ball and hopefully we'll have a breakthrough game."
