The 26th edition of Arab Basketball Club Championship concluded in Libya on Saturday.

Six teams took part, including two from Libya.

The home teams were Al-Ettihad and Al-Ahly

The visiting teams were Ahly from Yemen, Zakhou from Iraq and Ali-Hammamet and Tekbas from Tunisia.

Several teams had recently opted to withdraw from the event citing security concerns due to the volatile situation in the country.

The final was played out against an intimidating backdrop of local security and armed forces - who have been a constant presence in the city recently as a result of the ongoing unrest in Libya.

Al-Ahly were crowned the champions for the second time in a row after defeating Tunisian outfit Hammamet 71-64 in front of a capacity crowd inside the Suleiman Al-Dharat Arena
