First wins for JSF Nanterre and Budivelnik Kiev in Euroleague

    JSF Nanterre of France and Ukraine's Budivelnik Kiev claimed their maiden victories in basketball's Euroleague on Thursday

    JSF Nanterre beat FC Barcelona 67-71 on the road in Group A of the Euroleague.

    Je'Kel Foster scored the game-winning lay-up with seven seconds left and Juan Carlos Navarro missed from downtown at the buzzer, to give the French champions their first win in their debut Euroleague season.

    Another team claimed their maiden success on the same day.

    Budivelnik Kiev defeated Partizan NIS Belgrade 74-69 at home in Group A to become the first Ukrainian team to win a game in the competition.

    Fenerbahce Ulker remained unbeaten in Group A by topping CSKA Moscow 86-60 in Istanbul.

    Bojan Bogdanovic scored 20 points to lead the Turkish team.

    Zalgiris Kaunas routed Strasbourg 88-64 in Group B for the Lithuanian champions first win of the season.

    In Group C, two-time defending champion Olympiacos Piraeus survived a tough test from newcomers FC Bayern Munich - 88-83 the scoreline.

    The visitors led by as many as 5 in the fourth quarter and had two chances to tie it in the final 14 seconds, but the Reds managed to prevail.
