  • Intro:

Post-game comments after the Golden State Warriors defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 115-89 in Shanghai on Friday.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors guard (on beating the Lakers twice in China):
"It's always good to beat them, I'm not going to lie, I used to root for them growing up, growing up in southern California. So to play against them is like a dream come true and it's even sweeter when we beat them. I've seen them rule the state of California for far too long. I mean, we want Golden State to be the team out west and it starts even tonight in the preseason. So it's always fun beating them and it's good fuel for trash talk when I go back home."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors forward (on their trip to China):
"Coming over here to China, one thing we looked forward to was actually being able to build a bond, you know. It's just like old school, you know. Simple things like just riding down the street, you can't just look at your cell phone all day to text, you know. It's just simple things like that where you are talking to each other. You're going to all these different events together. On days off, everybody is out, just out and about. Things like this, you back on later in the season and it actually pays dividends. It's been a great experience for us and I think it's been a great trip for us as well."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mike D'Antoni, Los Angeles Lakers head coach (if he is concerned about the Lakers two pre-season losses in China):
"If you really look at it, out starters, we were ahead too and we were ahead in Beijing, so no, we're pretty excited about what we can do. It's not normal. It's preseason and doesn't matter come January whether you won four games or six games or one game, as long as you are doing things well. And I thought our starters and I thought that some of things we want to get accomplished they are doing really well."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Paul Gasol, Los Angeles Lakers forward (on the work that needs to be done before the season opens):
"Well, we still got a lot of work to do. We still got to find the lineups that will be most effective for us. We just got Wesley (Johnson) and Jordan (Farmar) back, being healthy and being able to play, so that's a plus. But we still got to make sure we work hard these next eleven days before opening night so he team is really ready to go. We got to be ready to go from the beginning."
