San Miguel Beermen defeat Thailand Slammers 70-62 to take 2-1 lead in ABL semi-finals on Thursday in Bangkok.

    Script:

Joe Bryant's Thailand Slammers took on the San Miguel Beermen in game three of their ASEAN Basketball League semi-final in Bangkok on Tuesday.

San Miguel's Brian Williams started things off, slamming down the follow-up for a 6-0 Beermen lead.

Later in the first quarter, Williams then did it from the outside with the three-pointer to stretch the Beermen lead to 20-2.

In the second quarter, it was Justin Williams doing it for San Miguel, giving the Beermen a 37-18 lead on the way to a commanding 44-26 advantage at half-time.

But Thailand came out of the dressing room a different team, going on a 14-1 run and cutting the San Miguel lead to five when Darrius Brannon slammed it down to make it 45-40 Beermen.

Just before the end of the third quarter Chris Charles' basket as the shot clock expired was ruled out.

Bryant went onto the court to argue, San Miguel guard Chris Banchero told him to get off the floor and so both received technical fouls.

Then Miguel's Eric Menk drained a clutch two-pointer to make it 68-59 with just over a minute to go.

The Beermen held off a furious second half charge by the Slammers to win 70-62.
