This was it - with the teams tied 2-2, the winner would progress to the Final Four.

    Script:

As the hosts and defending Euroleague champions, Olympiacos Piraeus had to be the favourites to book a place in London.

But it was the visitors led 23-21 at the end of the first ten minutes - and then really increased the pressure.

Kerem Tunceri made a three-pointer and dished assists - and Jordan Farmar and Sinan Guler also connected from deep - as the Turks went on a 13-0 run to open the second.

That put Efes ahead 36-21, though Olympiacos closed the gap to eight by halftime.

Thanks largely to the efforts of Spanoulis, the wonderfully named Peace and Friendship Stadium was a much happier place at the three-quarter mark. At that juncture, the lead was down to one - 55-54.

The momentum was now with Olympiacos - though Joshua Shipp was still in an aggressive mood.

But the imperious Spanoulis carried the Greeks to victory.

His lay-up with four minutes left gave his team the lead for good, 68-67, and started a 16-5 charge to finish the game.
