Intro:
Postgame reaction after the New York Knicks blew out the Boston Celtics 90-76 on Friday, April 26th to take a 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven first-round playoff series.
Script:(English) Mike Woodson, New York Knicks Head Coach:
"We set the tone i thought defensively tonight and we got our hands on the ball a lot tonight - deflections and we were active sand that's the only way you're going to give yourself a chance to win on the road. It's a tough place to win. And I thought Pablo (Prigioni) set the tone early, he made some shots early and our offense was, you know it was pretty good throughout the ballgame but I just thought we held our composure and a lot of that had to do with the fact that we defended tonight."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jason Kidd, New York Knicks Guard:
"Well I think Pablo (Prigioni) and Ray (Felton) set the tone. Offensively Pablo knocked down some big threes and then I think defensively it was a great team effort but Pablo again started getting his hands on balls and got out and got some easy baskets - him and Ray were great - but I thought, you know, that first quarter on the road you gotta make sure you take their first punch and we did that."
(English) Doc Rivers, Boston Celtics Head Coach:
"I don't think we showed up not to play well. I thought we ... overall our effort was there. I thought we did lose our spirit early on. You know, we miss, when did we start out? We miss two layups at the start of the game and a plethora of other open shots and I thought we lost our spirit for one stretch and I thought it was in the second quarter, last five minutes of the second quarter, because of that and that hurt us."
