No Spanish clubs on UEFA financial blacklist

It is not all bad news for Spanish football. All of the teams competing in European competitions are complying with Financial Fair Play rules and none of them are under investigation by UEFA.
Following the study carried out by the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), all of the teams representing Spanish football are fulfilling the requirements set out by Michel Platini.
Currently 14 teams are being examined in greater detail. According to UEFA, their figures do not add up and they could be fined in February unless they remedy the situation. Monaco, Roma, Besiktas, Inter, Krasnodar, Liverpool and Sporting are continuing with the process which was already underway, but are now joined by Sparta Prague, Hull City, Lyon, Panathinaikos, Ruch Chorzow and Wolfsburg.
Teams such as Monaco, Sporting and Inter are under suspicion - the first two based on the origin of capital and uncommon transactions. The shadows cast by their owners and the movements which they have made are under the spotlight. All of the big leagues feature on the blacklist, with the exception of Spain's La Liga. Italy (Roma and Inter), England (Hull), France (Monaco and Lyon), Germany (Wolfsburg) and Portugal (Sporting) feature clubs under the thumb which are facing the possibility of sanctions in February.
Since UEFA introduced Financial Fair Play rules in 2011, the debts of clubs to players and other clubs have been reduced from €57 million to €8 million, whilst the overall debts of European football have plummeted from €1.7 billion to €800 million.
