Jose Mourinho reveals the SECRET behind Chelsea's stunning form

JOSE MOURINHO claims Chelsea are playing their best football ever because they are a team with no egos.

The self-styled Special One has often been accused of having the biggest ego of all but he reckons the opposite is true of his players this season.

He insists none of them care about individual awards because the only praise they want is for blowing their Premier League rivals away with flair football.

Mourinho said: "I think a good quality of our team is exactly that we don't care about it (individual praise).

"We just care about the team, about the result, about the table, about our collective ambitions.

"We don't have space for selfish people. We don't have space for egocentric people. We don't have space for people who think more about themselves than the team.

"I think this is a great quality for us.

"Obviously we like very, very much to have someone voted player of the month or have somebody score the goal of the week - these little things that for some are big things but for us are small things."

Speaking to Yahoo-Eurosport, he added: "What we want is to win matches, play well, make people realise that we play not just to get a result but to reach a certain level of quality of our game.

"We are happy with the results. We are happy that people are saying Chelsea is playing flair football more than ever. That's our whole objective. We are a team."

ONE FOR ALL: Jose Mourinho insists Chelsea are all pulling together

Chelsea are top of the table, unbeaten, and playing some of their best football for years after Wednesday night's 3-0 win over Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos has reopened his war of words with Mourinho by taking another sly dig at the Chelsea boss.

Real Madrid star Ramos claims former boss Mourinho is a poor leader because he was never a proper footballer and doesn't understand his own players.

And the Spain defender insists current Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is a better manager.

Ramos said: "The big difference with others is that now Real have a leader who was once a footballer.

"Unlike other managers Carlo manages the dressing room perfectly, understands each player and speaks with us about our problems.

"With Carlo it's guaranteed that players will give the maximum effort. He has won the respect of the whole squad."

Ramos and Mourinho had an uneasy relationship when the Special One was Real boss, and they have been at each other's throats for weeks.

It started when Ramos questioned Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa's commitment when they pulled out of the Spain squad injured.

Mourinho hit back by saying "Ramos is not a doctor". But the player responded by deliberately and publicly confusing him with little-known Celta Vigo president Carlos Mourinho.
