Becks could be Olym-pick hero

"When Seb Coe and the London 2012 team asked me to get involved in the bid to bring the Olympics not just to our country but to the part of London where I grew up, I must admit I was sceptical at first.
"The moment we actually got the Olympics was one of the most rewarding moments of my career. It was so special."
Beckham was speaking at the launch of the Games campaign by 2012 sponsors Samsung. He nominated Gabriella Roseje, 18, from Bermondsey in London to take part in the Olympic torch relay, which begins next May.
Roseje works in sports projects for disadvantaged kids in the capital.
The former Manchester United ace was also involved in England's failed bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
But he said: "I believe we can still have a World Cup here. Eventually. We deserve the chance."
