You may not have heard of Pixie Lott, the 19-year-old syrupy-voiced pop star who’s taken her native UK by storm, but with the recent stateside release of her hit record Turn It Up, it’s only a matter of time before you do. Lott is just the latest talented songstress to emerge from across the pond, and some say she's the most promising yet. Considering that group contains the likes of Duffy and Adele, that’s high praise for the singer/songwriter, whose jazz-tinged vocals and song-writing skills have her positioned as the anti-Ke$ha. Sometimes it’s just plain head-scratching that a single human being can be so gifted, so driven, so fashion-forward, and so mind-meltingly pretty. But if such an enviable genetic cocktail produces the likes of Pixie Lott, we’re not complaining.
