These days, Amber Heard is all about coming out parties. Personally, Heard came out of the closet at GLAAD's recent 25th anniversary celebration, revealing her girlfriend of two years, photographer Tasya van Ree, and crushing the dreams of men everywhere (right, like you had a shot). Long considered one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood, Heard has yet to fulfill the “it girl” moniker bestowed upon her after her just-more-than-a-cameo as Seth Rogen’s mouthy girlfriend in Pineapple Express. But that’s about to change. Heard is set to come out professionally as the love interest of Johnny Depp in the too-good-to-be-true adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s The Rum Diary, beating out more established actresses Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson for the role. Heard’s impending movie stardom is a huge step forward for both lesbians and for girls who starred in the independent horror film SideFX.
