Broncos involved in minor crash on Superbowl week

  • The Denver Broncos' team bus was involved in a minor traffic accident in Santa Clara on Monday (1st February).

    Ahead of Super Bowl 50 on Sunday (7th February), the Denver Broncos are safely back at their hotel in Santa Clara the team's buses was involved in a minor accident following their practice session at Stanford Stadium on Monday.

    Local paper, San Francisco Gate, that two buses were involved in the incident, although here we can only see one of the Superbowl finalists' buses.

    And that the collision involved a Californian Highway Patrol motorcycle.

    We understand that: "The first bus braked hard and came to a stop without incident, but the second bus couldn’t stop as quickly, swerved to avoid hitting the first bus and struck the CHP officer’s motorcycle. The patrolman was knocked off his motorcycle and was taken to a hospital with what were said to be minor injuries."

    Team spokesman Patrick Smyth said nobody was injured in the accident on the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 101.

    The Broncos and Carolina Panthers will make their first public appearances in San Francisco at media day later on Monday.

    Superbowl 50 takes place on Sunday February 7th.
