    Nicklas Backstrom returned to training with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday, after failing a doping test at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

    Script:

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals center:
    "Well I got back yesterday morning. It's been a couple of tough days. I mean you miss an Olympic final, something you don't want to do. You may not have that chance again in your career. So it's very sad and disappointing."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals center:
    "I have had allergies for seven years - since I got here. Everyone who lives in the Washington area knows how bad it is here and it's been following me. I've been taking Zyrtec-D for the last seven years. I haven't been doing anything differently. I've been playing internationally - the World Championships, the Olympics before. So I haven't done anything differently than before."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals center:
    "I take one pill every day for my allergies." Q. Were you following the doctor's instructions? "Absolutely." Who do you blame for this situation? "Who do I blame? Well I followed the doctor's recommendation."
