  • Intro:

USA ladies hockey players react to devastating loss to Canada in the gold medal match in Sochi on Thursday.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Katey Stone, USA Ice hockey coach
"It's different. This is a different deal. There's no question about it. I wouldn't want to minimise what we all were a part of and say that it's just another tough loss and that as a coach you've got to get over it. This is very different but I guess what I've said to our players all along and everyone is that when you sign up for this, you sign up for all the ebbs and flows and the risks and rewards that take place in such a heated environment and for these players to continuously put themselves on the line day in, day out, and for the coaches and everyone involved in these programs, that's what you do and I'm sure that there are many people that would like to be in our seats right now regardless of what the outcome would be. We understand that. We understand that it is a privilege and a responsibility. But it's difficult. It's going to hurt for a long time."
