Petja Piiroinen of Finland wins World Cup big air title

    Finland's Petja Piiroinen took the Freestyle World Cup big air title in Stoneham, Canada.

    Sweden's Mans Hedberg and Canadian Antoine Truchon completed the podium.

    Script:

    Local favourite Antoine Truchon captured bronze at the World Cup Big Air.

    The event took place on a specially constructed kicker in the middle of Old Quebec.

    The Canadian scored 156.25 points.

    Ahead of him was Sweden's Mans Hedberg.

    He took silver with a tally of 161.00 points.

    However, Hedberg was just edged out from top spot on the podium by Petja Piiroinen of Finland.

    Piiroinen earned the gold with a score of 161.75 points from his two runs.

    The Finn pleased to top the podium:

    "It feels good. A couple of years ago I was second, Truchon was first so it feels super good."
