US Olympic women's hockey team was announced on Wednesday ahead of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi.

"It's an incredible honour, obviously, you know as women we've grown up wanting to be on this team since they had a team in 1998 in Nagano and they won a gold medal so, for me, I've, you know, I remember looking at Cammi Granato and Gretchen Ulion and Karyn Bye and some of those guys and wanting to be just like them when I was 12 years old so it's quite the honour to wear the stars and stripes and represent your country and obviously, you know, being able to lead this team this year is incredible. We got a great group of girls that don't reqiuire a ton of direction but, just cause, you know, everyone's ... We're on the right path and it's great. I'm really excited for the rest of the year."
