SOUNDBITE: (Russian) Alexander Legkov, Overall World Cup Champion and Winner of the Tour de Ski 2012/13:

"This will be my third Olympics - the first was in Torino, back then I was so pleased to have qualified. I was so happy to be there. In Vancouver I was ready to fight for a medal, but unfortunately that didn't work out because I was ill. Now this will be my third Olympics and I think, and I'm certain, that I'm mentally, morally and physically ready. Now my time has come and I will give it my all."

SOUNDBITE: (Russian) Alexander Legkov, Overall World Cup Champion and Winner of the Tour de Ski 2012/13:

"Like every athlete, I dream of winning an Olympic medal. Right now, however, it is important to not get ill, injured and just concentrate on your goal, your dream and if you do that everything will work out okay. But I don't think about it every single day. Whatever will be, will be -- that's life. I hope everything works out for me just as I've planned it."
