Geneva survive a late score to win 6-5 against Team Canada on Monday and reach the final of the Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland.

    Script:

Geneva got off to a flyer as they played host to team Canada in the other semi-final of the Spengler Cup.

Matthew Lombardi opened the scoring within three minutes when the Canada defence backed off, and he just keep going,

Some quick work by Geneva put them two up, when Denis Hollenstein put this effort away.

Alexander Giroux managed to claw a goal back for Canada to make it 3-1.

But Geneva extended their lead to 4-1 with an unstoppable score from Arnaud Jacquemet.

Travis Roche scrambled a second for Canada in a powerplay to give them a glimmer.

But following on from a fifth Daniel Vukovic smashed the puck in from distance for a 6-3 lead, and surely game over?

Team Canada's Darren Haydar took advantage of power play to make scores 6-4 with this stylish move.

And then with just over 90 seconds to play, Jason Williams put Team Canada to within a score at 6-5.

Despite an exciting finish, the Swiss team held on to reach the final where they will play CSKA Moscow.
