    Action of Team Canada v Rochester Americans in the Spengler Cup quarter-finals in Davos, Switzerland on Sunday as well as Monday's semi-final between Russia's CSKA Moscow and the hosts HC Davos.

    Script:

    Team Canada took on the Rochester Americans in the Spengler Cup quarter-finals in Davos on Sunday.

    The Canadians' Byron Ritchie opened the scoring and they soon raced into a 3-0 first period lead.

    The Rochester Americans' Alexander Hutchings pulled one back in the second period but Derrick Walser restored Canada's advantage. Then Dan Catenacci and Joel Armia scored for the Americans to make it 4-3.

    Ritchie then bagged his second of the game in the final period before Alexandre Giroux rounded off a 6-3 victory to send Team Canada into tomorrow's semi-final against Swiss team Geneve.

    Monday's first semi-final was between CSKA Moscow and HC Davos.

    Enzo Corvi puts Davos ahead in the first period but CSKA's Ilari Filppula cancelled that out. Nicklas Danielsson then scored to move the Swiss side 2-1 ahead.

    CSKA equalised right at the beginning of the second period through Alexander Radulov.

    The Russians took a 4-3 lead into the third period but Davos drew level courtesy of Vladimir Zharkov.

    With overtime scoreless, Alexander Frolov stepped up in the shootout to book CSKA's place in Tuesday's final.
