Despite neither side having managed to secure a place in the final of the 2013 edition of the Red Bull Salute in Germany, Lulea Hockey and Djurgardens treated their fans to a high-scoring affair.
Following a goalless first period, Lulea got the breakthrough when Jan Sandstrom capitalised on a power play to give the Swedish club the lead.
They doubled their advantage minutes later when Niklas Fogstrom netted.
Mikael Ahlen reduced the deficit after capitalising on a scuffle with just seconds before the end of the second period.
The third period saw four more goals, with Sandstrom and Karl Fabricius adding to Luela's lead either side of Michael Holmqvist strike for Djurgardens.

Three goals in two second-period minutes saw Eisbaren Berlin take control of their match against Frolunda Indians, on route to a 4-3 win.
After a goalless first period, Robin Figren opened the scoring in the 21st minute.
That sparked Berlin's fightback with two goals in the 27th minute handing them a 2-1 advantage.
Shawn Lalonde struck first before Mads Christensen converted from close range.
Matt Foy added a third for the Germans in the 29th minute.
They goals continued to flow and Mathis Olimb scored Frolunda's second in the 31st minute.
Constantin Braun made it 4-2 to Berlin with the pick of the goals in the 35th minute.
Anton Blidh made it seven goals in one period by adding the Indians' third in the 42nd minute.
