    Script:

Day two at the final event of this season's Extreme Sailing Series, saw the teams and their vessels pushed to the limit.

Only three races took place on Friday after race officials called off the action, with winds of up to 35 knots. Some teams even forced to retire, such was the difficulty of the conditions.

Switzerland's Realteam had a crew member fall overboard. Fortunately, he was recovered quickly with little harm done.

Whilst team Brazil Mapfre suffered severe damage to their rigging when their forestay snapped sailing upwind.

At the end of the day though, the scorebaord had a familiar look.

The Wave, Muscat are inching closer to their second tour title, with the Oman-backed team, with tactician Ed Smyth of Australia, are eleven points ahead of their nearest rivals, Swiss outfit, Alinghi.

Austria's Red Bull Sailing team lie a further five points behind, with Denmark's SAP Extreme Sailing Team fourth.
