Cameron Naasz takes Ice Cross Downhill top spot

    American Cameron Naasz knocked Canada's Kyle Croxall off the top of the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship standings on Saturday, after victory in Lausanne, Switzerland.

    Script:

    The Swiss city of Lausanne was the setting for the fourth round of this season's Ice Cross Downhill World Championship.

    Starting at the 15th century Chateau Saint-Maire, the 450-metre track was a true test of courage for the 64 athletes.

    Kyle Croxall arrived at the top of the standings - but the Canadian got just 110 points with a dreadful 20th place after losing in the round of 32, and is now second.

    It was a better day for Kyle's brother Scott who secured a place in the four-man final.

    He was up against Miikka Jouhkinmainen of Finland, Austrian Kim Mueller and the USA's Cameron Naasz.

    Naasz, a 23-year-old college student from Minnesota, triumphed
