  • Intro:

France's Francois Gabart remains in the lead in the fourth day of the Vendee Globe.

    Script:

Francois Gabart still leads the Vendee Globe onboard Macif, but if he continues his southerly direction ahead of his competitors he could risk losing the top spot.

The weather is predicted to become calmer and Armel Le Cleac'h could then have an opportunity to take the lead.

Jean Le Cam on SynerCiel was 82.9 nautical miles behind the leader at one point on Tuesday; he was fifth behind Mike Golding, Armel Le Cleac'h, Cheminees Poujoulat and Gabart.

Two out of the twenty competitors that started the non-stop round the world yacht race have already dropped out.
