Accusations continue to surround the newest Chinese swimming superstar Ye Shiwen, who has so far won two gold medals at the London Olympic Games.

The 16-year-old won the women's 400-metre individual medley on Saturday and despite speculation of wrongdoing, swimming fans in China have remained upbeat about the accusations.

SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Zhao Kun, Chinese swimming fan:

"It should be completely judged by the International Olympic Committee through scientific testing instead of there being endless speculation without any evidence."

Shiwen's time in the 400 metres medley is the first swimming world record to be broken at this year's games.
