    40-year-old Eskild Ebbesen claimed his fifth Olympic gold medal as Denmark claimed a bronze in the Lightweight coxless fours at Eton Dorney on Thursday.

    "But, you know, I've had a couple of times (events) off from rowing, but came back training from the Olympics because it is just the biggest thing you can compete in, especially for a rower. You know, four years of training and just ending up in this! An explosive race where you just have to let it all out. That is something special."

    "These teams that thought they should have a medal and don't get it, of course, get quite angry, But, we never know how much difference it is between the lanes. Yeah, it's outside sports and it happens sometimes. In our race, it was very hard to take a decision as the wind was very calm just one minute before the race. Then just 30 seconds before the race it blew up - and it got very tough at that time."
