SOUNDBITE (English) Greg Searle, three-time Olympic rowing medallist
(On the race). "There was a fantastic moment when I think we were rowing really well, I felt strong and the cox, Phelan Hill, said 'you're level with the Germans, we're in front of the Germans' - and we were leading the Olympic final, and we had two minutes to go and we had the home crowd still to come, and at that point I really thought it could come off, I really thought it could all come true."

(On comeback). "Yeah, it's been an amazing three years, I've loved every day of it, even though it's been tough at times and I've had some injuries, and I've a lot of pain sitting on the rowing machine or doing the trials and the tests. And I wanted it to end with a golden moment - as it is, I know how painful it is to come fourth, and it feels an awful lot better to come third."
SOUNDBITE (English) Greg Searle, three-time Olympic rowing medallist
(On Great Britain's gold at Olympics for women's pair Heather Stanning and Helen Glover). "I'm so proud, I'm so happy for the girls. They're fantastic girls, they've worked really well together, they exemplify everything that's good about sport and women's sport - and for them to win a gold medal and be the first is brilliant. I hope it will be the first of many."
