Defending Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel visited New Jersey on Monday to take a look at the circuit for the Grand Prix of America, scheduled to run for the first time in June 2013.

One day after a disappointing fourth place finish at the Canadian Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel was in New Jersey to drive around the new Grand Prix circuit.

The new course is scheduled to run for the first time in June 2013.

Vettel took an Infiniti IPL G Coupe around the planned 3.2-mile course rather than his usual Renault Red Bull Racing machine.

So, I'm really - as I said - I'm really, really pleased to be here today, but I'm really looking forward to next year, to jump in the car and see how it feels."

Vettel is currently third in the F1 standings behind Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
