Mexican Formula One driver Sergio Perez attended a promotional event in New York on Monday (June 11th), as he looked back on his third-place finish in Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix and looked ahead to the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas in November.

Having secured a second podium finish for Sauber-Ferrari in the team's three-year history at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, Mexican F1 driver Sergio Perez was in New York on Monday, to show off the C29 machine he took to third place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

"Well, it really was a great race. A great weekend for the whole team. We start 15, the race. We had quite a bad qualifying, so we never expected to come that far into the points, first of all, and then into the podium. So it was a great result."

Perez was in the 'Big Apple' to promote the United States Grand Prix, round 19 of the current season (out of 20), which is scheduled to be run at the Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas in November.

Perez said he was looking forward to getting a lot of support at the US GP, considering its proximity to his home country.
