The latest round of Supermoto took place in Palermo on Sunday with the Supermoto GP of Sicily.

Finland's Mauno Hermunen took the lead in race one from the start, with Italian Ivan Lazzarini just behind him.

The Finn's nearest competitors for the rest of the race were Lazzarini and World Champion Adrien Chareyre, who'd moved into second after the first lap.

Neither managed to overhaul Hermunen and he took the chequered flag comfortably.

Adrien Chareyre got off to the perfect start in race two and took the lead into the first corner, followed by Lazzarini and Hermunen.

Local favourite Teo Monticelli came off his bike and ended up finishing 16th in the race.

The fight for top spot between Chareyre and Hermunen was tight and the Finnish rider managed to pass Chareyre on the inside on the ninth lap and it was a lead he never gave up as he took the chequered flag.

In race three, Adrien Chareyre took the lead, with Hermunen, Lazzarini and Thomas Chareyre behind.

Hermunen who'd won the first two races took the lead in the third race on the fourth lap.

It was a lead that was to last for just a lap as mechanical problems forced him to restart from the back of the group and he eventually finished 16th.

Thomas Chareyre then passed his brother Adrien and he hung on to win race 3.

The win along with a third and fourth placed finish in the opening two races meant he finished second on the podium.

Thomas Chareyre also moved into the lead in the overall championship.

Adrien Chareyre finished top of the podium in Palermo, while Ivan Lazzarini took third place.
