Post-race reaction after Scotland's Dario Franchitti won the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, USA.

"Yeah, Scott (Dixon) and I were battling, Takuma (Sato) was in there and then Tony (Kanaan) got this amazing restart and then the next thing Tony's (Kanaan) leading. Hey, where did he come from? It seemed that if you're in front you were kind of a sitting duck with all that, and it was really timing when you got to the front. My car was good enough where I could tuck right behind when somebody passed me into turn one and sometimes onto the backstretch So, yeah, it got a little bit crazy there at the end, swapping the lead back and forwards and but a bit of a mad finish."

"I stayed high and gave him a bit of room, (Takuma) Sato was pretty, pretty aggressive all day and especially when it came to those later restarts. And, you know, I thought we were going to get lucky there because they hit pretty good and I thought it might take out the both of them. But it wasn't the case. You know and you got to give Dario (Franchitti) huge credit."

"The car was really good and I didn't want to be leading at the time. I knew the race, but what a way to honour Dan (Wheldon). Thank the fans, the fans were unbelievable and his three best friends in the top three of the podium. It's awesome, so great way to do it and I'll keep trying man, I'll keep trying."
