The Salzburgring in Austria played host to rounds 11 and 12 of the 2012 World Touring Car Championship on Sunday.

Chevrolet driver Robert Huff began the race from pole and was able to hold his advantage in turn one.

Despite several strong challenges from Yvan Muller in the closing stages Huff hung on to take the win from Muller and Alain Menu to complete a memorable Chevrolet 1-2-3 on the podium.

In race two the Chevrolet Cruze trio started on the reverse grid in 8th, 9th and 10th - but soon quickly carved their way through the field, with Muller taking the lead on lap four.

It then looked as though the race was set to witness another Chevrolet 1-2-3 - until drama on the final lap.

Muller eventually nursed his Chevrolet Cruze home in eighth place, with his team-mate Alain Menu failing to finish after sliding off the track on lap eight.

Yvan Muller now leads the championship standings, with an eight-point lead over Rob Huff in second, with Alain Menu in third.
