Rubens Barrichello seems to be adjusting well to the change from Formula One to IndyCar racing.

After 19 years and a record 325 races in F1, Barrichello has joined KV Racing and the Brazilian is enjoying his new career in the USA.

"It's been a fantastic feeling the moving across and I'm just enjoying every second. It's not as easy as we may think just to sit on another car with a different engine and different everything. I think I'm coping quite well."

Expectations are high that the relationship between Barrichello and KV Racing will click instantly, but the 39-year-old is not getting carried away.

SOUNDBITE (English) Rubens Barrichello, IndyCar driver:

"I don't think it's automatically that KV racing technology will just up their game. I think joint venture with GM and Chevrolet is a good marriage and I think that we can conquer from that. At the end we need to see who are the guys that are competitive and then just get on the track and do your max and see if you can win the race."

Barrichello will be looking to start his IndyCar career with a maiden victory when the season begins at the Honda Grand Prix of St Petersburg on 25th March.
