    Script:

The final day of competition at the rowing World Championships and another gold for Great Britain.

A stunning win in the men's eight makes it three world titles in a row

It was close in the last few strokes, Olympic champions Germany nearly overtook, but the British boat held on.

The Netherlands followed Germany into third.

The blue riband women's eight from the United States also stole the headlines, their victory extending their winning run to a total of ten consecutive world and Olympic titles.

New Zealand's women's eight finished second, winning silver, and their first-ever medal in the class.

The men's single sculls came down to a stunning two-way duel between Olympic champion Mahe Drysdale of New Zealand, and world champion Ondrej Synek from the Czech Republic.

Synek won in the last three metres of the race.

The women's single sculls gold medal went to Kim Crow of Australia, extending her unbeaten season.
