  • The lawyer for Team USA Olympic swimmer James Feigen says he will be free to leave Brazil after paying a donation of about 35,000 Brazilian reals ($10,800 US Dollars) on Friday (19th August).

    SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Breno Melaragno, James Feigen's lawyer:

    "Brazilian law allows - in light of the crimes - the possibility of reaching an agreement before criminal prosecution. After long debate, this agreement has been reached, and he will donate 35,000 Real (10,800 US dollars) to an institution, and this means that the case is resolved.

    "After this donation is complete, his passport will be given back to him, and he will be free to return home."
