Kevin Gleason converted his Salzburgring pole position into a maiden win in the TCR International Series on Sunday, bringing home his WestCoast Racing Honda ahead of Target Competition SEAT duo Stefano Comini and Andrea Belicchi in Race One.

American racer Gleason led the race from start to finish and was never challenged by Comini, who got off to a strong start to take second place from Gianni Morbidelli on the opening lap.

Gleason then pulled out an advantage of around a second going into the second half of the race, to ensure he had just enough of a margin to take victory.

Belicchi took the final podium position, having passed Craft-Bamboo Racing's Jordi Gene on the penultimate lap of the race.

Target Competition's Michel Nykjaer scored his second TCR International Series win of the season in race two, ahead of Craft-Bamboo Racing's Pepe Oriola and WestCoast Racing's Gianni Morbidelli.

Nykjaer got off to a strong start from second on the grid, beating polesitter Igor Skuz into the first corner.

The Dane's win confirmed his special bond with this track, where he has won in both in the ETCC and WTCC in the past.

In the overall standings, Morbidelli leads with 175 points, followed by Comini with 157. Oriola is third with 153.

Gleason lies in fifth on 127, two places ahead of Nykjaer, who has 92 points.
