SOUNDBITE (English) Charles Caudrelier, Dongfeng skipper:

"We decided to retire from the leg. Considering the weather it is impossible to be ready for the next leg and finish the race. To finish the race we need to use a rig and it would be very slow. We have to leave as soon as possible Ushuaia go to Itajal, use the engine and the small sails. That's a challenge against time. We need to be there one week before the start of the leg to be ready to take the start of the new leg."
