Irishman Damian Foxall, who was a winner of the 2011/12 Volvo Ocean Race, has joined Dongfeng Race Team for the upcoming leg five, teaming up with Charles Caudrelier again.

"It's a fantastic opportunity, they're, you know, they've been doing a great job. I hardly necessarily planned to do the Volvo Ocean Race this time, so to have the opportunity to come and do a leg is fantastic and what a leg. This is a leg that all the sailors...that's the one we're all really here for. It's obviously a big challenge ahead, last time only one boat got out of this leg unscathed and that's certainly something that will be in the minds of all of us as we head off shore. Basically you have to finish this leg to continue racing, to continue to have a chance to get a good end result."
