Porsche got its first FIA World Endurance Championship win with Neel Jani's success in the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo at Interlagos on Sunday (30th November), but there was a heavy crash involving former Formula One driver Mark Webber and Matteo Cressoni, which saw Webber taken away on a stretcher.

Neel Jani became the first Porsche driver to win a FIA World Endurance Championship event in Interlagos, Sao Paolo on Sunday, after coming first in the 6 Hours of Sao Paolo race.

However, not all Porsche representatives were as lucky. Former Formula One driver Mark Webber collided severely with Matteo Cressoni's AF Corse Ferrari.

Cressoni was brought to the side of the race track to be assessed and was later declared to be fit. Webber however, had to be stretchered off to the Interlagos medical centre for further examinations, but the Australian was said to be awake and breathing at the time.

Despite Toyota's Anthony Davidson and Sebiastien Buemi winning the drivers' title, Jani won the 6 Hours of Sao Paolo event, after the no.14 managed to hold champion Davidson off in his Porsche 919 Hybrid.

"Yes, finally! That exactly, our first year on the last race we got our first win. We've been several times close to it, pole positions and other things, but to now get the win is just a relief. I think it made the return and our mission perfect for 2014.

Jani was joined by fellow race winners Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb on the podium.
