  • Intro:

Life on the boats continues as the Volvo Ocean Race heads closer towards Cape Town, South Africa.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sally Barkow, Team SCA:

"It's close quarters around here. We're 12 people on a 65 foot (19.8 metres) boat. You have you're one little space when you get in your bunk, which is quite nice, it feels roomy. You have your one bag of stuff and then you have, you know everything else you share. It's a bit of an effort to keep everything organised, everything has it's place. We live on a, kind of, 20 to 30 degree keel at the moment, so balance and, you know, finding your step is important so you don't fall over. But, it's challenging, at the same time everybody's getting used to it, so we're probably coping really well at the moment."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Michel Desjoyeaux, MAPFRE:

"We are fifth in the rankings, three boats are far ahead... (boat creaks)... this is the noise when we hear the fractional sheet, which is quite noisy from inside."
