"I knew that I said to deal with it and then it would slowly come right but ribs, it doesn't happen too quick. Mainly I just wanted to keep it from my mother."

"No mother likes to see her son injured, as they say before they run onto the field so just to keep her happy to see me start the race I thought no point making it any worse for her."

"I certainly know it's not broken because I've experienced that so, yes, it's all good. There's nothing I can't do on the boat. I sort of do a lot more with my left, lifting a lot more and stuff with my left side than my right side at the moment -- but otherwise we'll deal with it."
