Following the ski slopestyle event, it was the turn of brute force and the snowmobiles late on Sunday afternoon at the 2014 X-Games in Aspen, Colorado.
The first final featured the SnoCross Adaptive category and after six laps of the specially constructed track, Mike Schultz of the United States emerged victorious again and picked up his fourth gold medal in the event.
Schultz was followed to the line by compatriots Garrett Goodwin and Doug Henry, who picked up the silver and bronze medals respectively.
The SnoCross final saw fifteen entrants blast away from the start line, with 16 laps of the track in store.
Once again, a veteran of the event dominated and Tucker Hibbert eclipsed even Schultz's efforts by winning the X-Games final for an unprecedented seventh consecutive time.
Hibbert covered the distance in 12 minutes 27.984 seconds, comfortably taking the gold medal once again by a margin of almost 14 seconds.
Kody Kamm edged out Justin Broberg for the silver medal - his first at X-Games level and it was a best-ever finish for Broberg, following ninth place finishes in Aspen last year and in 2011.
