Courmayeur Mont Blanc was the location for the 2014 Freeride World Tour, and this week the weather didn't hault proceedings.

In the snowboarding category, Sascha Hamm of Great Britain secured a score of 72.5 with a high velocity run. That placed him second ahead of Ludo Guilllot-Diat of France who scored 70.25

But the winner was American, Sammy Luebke, whose fast and playful run ended with a front-side 360 and a top score of 80.50.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sammy Luebke, Winner of Snowboard category:
"First time on the World Tour, first win and I am so happy today and I think this is going to be good for the rest on the season."

In the skiing competition, a score 87.5 meant Josh Daiek of the United States finished in second place, beating the 82.25 of Jeremie Heitz of Switzerland.

But they were both beaten by Freeride World tour rookie rider Loic Collomb-Patton of France.

He scored 88.50 with a run that included an incredible high speed double right at the top of the venue and a huge 360 at the bottom.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Loic Collomb-Patton, Winner of Ski category:
"Oh yeah at today event... a first. Yeah I mean I am 'super-stoked' (happy) for sure. I started off with a win. I fell last year at the first stop so it was kind of nice to redeem, yeah, and just had fun. The snow was super-good, couldn't ask for anything more."
